Bob Parker
A retired engineer from NASA, Bob Parker has always had a love for photography. He first started taking pictures as a teenager with his trusty Kodak Brownie camera. After retiring, Bob and his wife, Nancy, traveled throughout the U.S., Canada and Nova Scotia. And you guessed it. Bob was snapping pictures all along the way. In fact, Bob even wrote and published several photo essays in Trailer Life magazine. In 1979, Bob won the Kodak International Snap Shot Contest for a photo he had taken, and was featured on the cover of the Daily Press. After moving into The Chesapeake, Bob founded a bi-monthly newsletter that profiles residents and staff, and, of course, features some of his photography. “The newsletter helps build community spirit,” says Bob.
